O’s Campus Café is a unique concept in campus food service. We are proud to serve the students, faculty and staff of UT Austin by offering freshly-prepared food at reasonable prices. O’s has been featured on a FoodNetwork show, “Best of Campus Hotspots” with Marc Silverstein. The episode continues to appear on the FoodNetwork, with the next show scheduled in January, 2007. Owners Ron and Peggy Weiss (UT graduates) and David Garrido, are recipients of the “Who’s Who in Food and Wine in Texas” award. The Weiss’s have been involved in the creation of many restaurant concepts in Austin over the past 30 years. Jeffrey’s Restaurant and Bar (www.jeffreysofaustin.com) is their award-winning fine dining concept. Shoreline Grill (www.shorelinegrill.com) is a seafood restaurant on the beautiful banks of Town Lake and has event facilities for large parties. Cipollina (www.cipollina-austin.com) is a West Austin bistro, specializing in pizzas, sandwiches and salads. Chef Garrido has been a creative force in restaurant kitchens around the country for over 20 years. In 2000, O’s Campus Café opened in the newly built Applied Computational Engineering and Sciences Building, donated to the Universtiy by Peter O’Donnell Jr.. The A.C.E.S. Building is a state-of-the-art facility that supports interdisciplinary research and graduate study in computational science and engineering, mathematical modeling, applied mathematics, software engineering and computer visualization.
